OCT Retinal Scans
Our experienced optometrists are equipped to detect and help manage certain eye conditions with our modern test equipment.
Retinal Imaging & OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) Scans
Retinal imaging is the process of taking a high-definition, digital photograph and scan of the back of your eye, capturing the macula, the blood vessels and part of the optic nerve. This records vital information which can be used to pick up early signs of eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, which can be sight threatening, but often easily prevented with early detection. Our modern equipment makes sure we have a comprehensive overview of your eye health. We recommend everyone has an OCT scan, even if the eyes appear healthy, as this can set valuable baseline readings for all future eye tests. It’s a quick and painless process and we’ll go through the images so you can see what’s happening as well!
