Eye Examinations

Our experienced optometrists will have plenty of time to look after your eyes with our modern test equipment.

Eye Tests

Eye chart with large letter A at the top, decreasing in size down the line, used for vision testing.

Regular eye tests are important not just for checking your vision but for checking your overall eye health, even if you feel your eyesight is perfect. Some eye diseases may not present with symptoms until later stages, and the earlier an issue is detected, the more likely we are to be able to prevent or limit any sight loss. We recommend that everyone has a professional eye examination every two years or sooner, depending on age, general health, existing eye conditions or family history of glaucoma.

Our optometrists each have over 25 years of experience and can tailor the eye tests to your individual needs, including specialist tests such as colorimetry and dry eye investigations. We have enhanced DBS checks every year so you can feel safe in our care,  and we also pride ourselves in our children’s eye tests  Info here

Retinal Imaging & OCT

Fundus photograph of the human eye showing the optic disc, blood vessels, and macula.

Retinal imaging is the process of taking a high-definition, digital photograph and scan of the back of your eye, capturing the macula, the blood vessels and part of the optic nerve. This records vital information which can be used to pick up early signs of eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macula degeneration, which can be sight threatening, but often easily prevented with early detection. We use the latest technology and equipment in our retinal imaging to make sure we have a comprehensive overview of your eye health. We recommend everyone has an OCT scan, even if the eyes appear healthy, as this can set valuable baseline readings for all future eye tests. It is a quick and painless process and we will talk you through the images so you can see what’s happening as well!

If you, a friend, or family member have mobility issues and struggle to get to our store from the car park then contact our staff to arrange easy access.
